It was when three days ago the world saw starting of a largest machine called as Large Hadron Collider (LHC). This news more than giving knowledge to world, scared more. Many news channels instead of giving scientific information stressed on ‘ending of world’ thing. This maes no sense. It scares common man who fails to gather true and scientific information about the safety of project and its consequences from other resources.

              So I’m trying to give here what I understood about the project in simple words. The CERN(Europian Organization for Nuclear Research), has undertaken a project to understand how this universe was created. In this project, the beams of proton will be collided against each other at very high speed ( very near to speed of light) inside a machine called as Large Hadron Collider. This will create a situation like it was when big bang happened, but on very small scale. So is called as “mini big bang”. A mini big bang will help scientists to understand how the universe was created, what it is made up of and lots of other things. This machine was stared on 10th Sept 2008 and first collision of beams will happen on 21st October 2008. Although the scientist of CERN has guaranteed safety of experiment, thereare counter-opinions in the world.
